No, the hourly rate is completely optional. If you just want to track duration for productivity, leave the rate field blank.
How does the global floating bar work?
When at least one timer is active, a floating pill appears at the bottom-center of any site page. It shows live running digits and redirects back to the tracker on click.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes, 100% of data is stored locally in your browser via HTML5 LocalStorage. No task descriptions, clients, or rates are ever sent to remote servers.
